Distinguished Achievements of Lasting Value

Since 1985, the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC) has annually acknowledged one individual who has given the most to IACC and the conference centre industry. Originally called the Distinguished Service Award, it was renamed in 1990 in memory of its first recipient, Mel Hosansky, who died later that year. Mel was an early supporter of IACC and its objectives and the Mel Hosansky Award is IACC's most prestigious award. One president noted upon bestowing the award, “Every time we recognize a new recipient of this award, we honor Mel Hosansky’s preeminent legacy.”
